A Trip to Seaton Delaval Hall

We met friends at Seaton Delaval Hall yesterday so I took the opportunity to take my camera. The pro camera is quite heavy so I restricted myself to the lighter 60mm lens.

As we were wandering into the gardens, we noticed the dead tree. We were commenting that we hadn't noticed it before - maybe because we tend to go in spring when the leaves aren't out yet. Then I noticed that the branches echoed the bend in the statue's arm. Art in nature and carved in stone.

We had a very pleasant walk around the little woodland walk, and a quick sit on the deckchairs near the pond.
