Posted: 22 January 2019 As a photographer who works from home, I offer portrait sessions on location, or in your own home. Both have pros and cons and I thought I'd look at each option individually so you can choose which is best for you.Today, as the title suggests, we'll look at having a portrait in your own home. So the good things first:-1. You don't have to travel anywhere, I come to you.2. You may feel more comfortable in your own surroundings.3. It's easier for you to get changed if you want photos in a couple of different outfits.4. You may have worked hard on creating a beautiful garden which you want to proudly show off in the background. There are a few disadvantages to consider as well.1. Is there enough space to accommodate a large family group? Especially indoors.2. Is your garden overlooked by houses, as they will probably be in the photos if your boundaries are low.3. Heavy furniture which is in the way won't be able to be moved so will probably be in the photo. So some things to consider when you're thinking about your portrait location. Look out for the post about portraits on location coming in a few weeks time! Thanks for reading, and if you'd like to book your portrait session please ring me on 0191 2864014.Gillian Cross Portraitsportraitportrait photographyAdd new comment Your name Comment *SavePreview Leave this field blank
