The Sage, Gateshead Posted: 3 April 2017 Over the weekend, my husband and I went to a concert at The Sage, Gateshead. It was a beautiful evening and the views over the Tyne and Newcastle are always fantastic. We arrived quite early so we had a drink and listened to the band that was playing on the concourse as part of the Jazz Festival. I took the opportunity to snap the view of the cloudless sky with my phone camera.Read more about The Sage, GatesheadAdd new comment
Gardening Tea Break Posted: 27 March 2017 This weekend was the first proper weekend that I managed to get out in the garden to do some gardening. It was such a glorious spring day on Saturday and I love being able to sit in the sunshine with a cuppa. I got some weeding and tidying up done and the beds are looking much better. Everything is springing up and buds are about to burst!Read more about Gardening Tea BreakAdd new comment
Gorgeous Pink Tulip Posted: 20 March 2017 More flowers this weekend, tulips given to me by my mother-in-law when we did lunch for our parents. I love the delicate pink and white markings on this tulip. I used a macro lens to really focus on the patterning. It truly feels like spring.Read more about Gorgeous Pink TulipAdd new comment
The Daffodils are out Posted: 13 March 2017 This weekend I noticed that the daffodils are starting to come out in our back garden. Had to take a shot for the 52 weekends project. Sadly, no washing on the line this week as it was a bit rainy. Well, that's spring for you! This was taken with a macro lens and is an abstract picture of the trumpet's frilly edging.Read more about The Daffodils are outAdd new comment

Springtime Washing Posted: 6 March 2017 It was really starting to feel like Spring this weekend. So much so, that my washing went out on the line for the first time this year.I love the sun glinting off the washing lines in this photo, and the way the clouds are aligned with them. The blue shirt echoes the blue sky and the diagonal angles add drama to a day to day scene.Read more about Springtime WashingAdd new comment
So Many Books! Posted: 27 February 2017 Apart from a photo job this weekend, it was fairly chilled and my son was supposed to have tidied the books on his bedside cabinet. It's been half term and he loves reading so much that he's read about 14 books! That's brilliant, except he hasn't put any of them away and he's going to disappear under the pile soon!Read more about So Many Books!Add new comment
Hanging Lights Posted: 20 February 2017 When I started the 52 weekends project, I was supposed to be taking photos on my pro camera. Last year I got an iphone which has a much better camera than my old phone so last weekend I ended up just taking the photo on that.We were at Bella Italia for my friend's daughter's birthday and these hanging lights caught my eye.Read more about Hanging LightsAdd new comment
I Like to Crochet As Well Posted: 13 February 2017 As well as knitting, I like to crochet. I have lots of different yarns left over from projects and I wanted to use some up. I'd just ordered some new colouring pens for my art so I decided to make a pen case with some of the leftovers. I finished it this weekend, and my new pens arrived. Yay!Read more about I Like to Crochet As WellAdd new comment
Hair Cutting Time - The Tools Posted: 6 February 2017 It was hair cut time for my son and husband this weekend. I've always cut hubby's with the clippers as it's fairly easy. Son used to have the clippers too but he likes his hair slightly longer. I've had to master cutting it with scissors! YouTube is very handy!I've applied a details action to bring out the hard edges of the tools slightly and enhance the grain.Read more about Hair Cutting Time - The ToolsAdd new comment
